My Trip To Brighton & More

Where do I even start with my and my partner's fabulous trip to Brighton? From the moment we stepped onto those stunning beaches to the lively buzz of the city centre, this place completely captivated us! Celebrating our fifth anniversary was no small feat, and Brighton turned out to be the perfect backdrop for our unforgettable adventure.

We kicked off our journey with a train ride from Southampton that lasted just under two hours. It may not sound long, but for someone who doesn’t frequently hop on trains, every minute felt like an eternity! Finally arriving at our accommodation, we were treated to breathtaking views of the coastline and city below—seriously, it felt like we were on top of the world!

Brighton is bursting with energy and charm. Picture this: vibrant streets filled with quirky shops showcasing unique gifts and treasures just waiting to be discovered. Our mission? To find the perfect gifts for friends and family. Armed with a list (and maybe a bit of wishful thinking), we embarked on our shopping spree, navigating through delightful spots and, yes, giggling at our inability to remember who we had already shopped for. That’s part of the fun, right?

Next, we dove into the magical world of Sea Life, where we marvelled at all the mesmerising creatures of the ocean. The real star of the show? The upside-down house, an Instagram-worthy spot that flips your perspective in the most fun way possible—we couldn’t resist snapping a few silly photos!

When it came to accommodations, I must admit I’m not usually a fan of hotel stays. They can feel cramped and come with all sorts of noise distractions—who wants to share walls with a snorer, right? Enter our Airbnb, and wow, were we glad we picked it! Our home away from home was cosy and inviting, making it perfect for snuggling up together and watching movies after long days of exploration.

The location was another win! Just a few minute's walk to the beach and a quick stroll up the hill to the buzzing city centre filled with familiar shops. We blended our iconic Brighton vibes with our Southampton favourites, which made for an exciting and easy shopping experience.
