Welcome back to the blog I hope everyone had a lovely X-Mas, a great start to 2022 and everyone is well. This weeks blog post is a short one and I hope you all like it. My Goals For 2022 To complete my apprenticeship | For almost a year now I've been doing an apprenticeship so I can move up the ladder and more things to add to my CV. 2. Stay more organised | In 2021 I wasn't that organised then I normally am so I'm taking this year to get back on track 3. Get back to blogging | In 2021 I put blogging to one side but this year I'm getting my blog back on track and getting even more blog posts done 4. Be better with my money | When it comes to money I'm not that bad at it but I feel like it could do with some work so fingers crossed 2022 will help me with that 5. Compleat my room set-up | In 2019 I started to change my room around but then we had COVID-19 so that kind of stopped due to me being needed at work more than ever and everything stopping in the U.K. I'm hoping this year I can continue with setting up my room and giving it a new look 6, Support More Bloggers | At the bigging of the pandemic, I thought this would be the time we see a lot of people trying something new, finding a hobby or something. Instead of that, I ended up being completely wrong and instead the blogging community came to some kind of stop. I'm hoping that 2022 will be the year where we see the blogging community come back again and see all kinds of different new bloggers and other bloggers who have been doing this for a while come back, dust off the laptop and get blogging again. I'm hoping with maybe a few blog posts that are based on supporting bloggers and also using social media a the main tool it should all come to plan and get blogging going again. Now I'm not saying that blogging is dead or anything like that I just think it needs a kick if you get what I mean. Lego Titanic I love making things out of lego and this is the next thing I'd love to make Apple HomeKit I'm new to this Apple HomeKit thing and well so far I'm loving it. A few more things added to it would be amazing. I've found a few things I'd like to add so hopefully I can get them. Apple MacBook Air I love gold MacBooks I think they just look incredible also I love MacBooks because they are amazing for blogging, working from home and things like homework. Also just like all the Apple stuff it's all linked together. I highly recommend MacBooks to anyone. Planner/Diary I have this job where I attend a lot of meetings "via Zoom & ConnectTeam" plus have a lot of dates to remember so having a planner/diary would be perfect. AirTags I use my AirTags all the times mainly fir my keys but I can tell you now they are super helpful and they work with the Apple FindMy network. Yes I need more...

As some of you know I've been blogging for 7-years and to some people that sounds like a long time and I guess to a degree it is. I love blogging for a load of different reasons and here are a few. I love how you can have a little place on the web where you can make blog posts based on any topic you like and share them with other people. I love how with blogging you are the boss and you can do whatever you want. The reason why I'd love to do blogging as my job is that the one thing I'm passionate about and put so much work into I could do full time just think how cool that would be. I understand being a full-time blogger isn't a walk in the park and you'd have way more things to do than a part-time blogger does and it's probably not that easy to become a full-time blogger at all when you think about it and to be completely honest with you I wouldn't even know of where to start. As someone who's on social media and has. blog I get a lot of people asking me the same question so many times. I thought to myself why don't I just make into a blog post. Why Did You Start Blogging? I started blogging because I wanted to find a hobby that I wouldn't only just start and then slowly lose interest in after a few weeks. With that I was thinking of all kind of hobby that I enjoyed and come across blogging. I decided to make blogging my number one hobby because I like reading blog posts so this just seemed perfect. How Long Have You Been Blogging For? I've been blogging for 7 years What Would You Recommend Todo A Blog On Laptop or Tablet When I started my blog I was using an iPhone 5 it wasn't the easiest device to use. I then used a Kindle and then an iPad but now I use my MacBook and I'd recommend for anyone who has a blog to use a laptop. I think the desktop version is better then an app version Is Blogging Your Job Sadly blogging isn't my job but one day maybe Have You Ever Been To A Blogger's Event I've been to one blogging event with Southampton Bloggers to Stakks Did You Make Your Blog Logo No I didn't make my blog logo I got it made by a small U.K business called Beevine Art. I also got them to make it into a poster for me as well Your blog email has @jackdeyes in it. Do all blogs need that No, You don't need to have a customised email for your blog that is completely up to you. I wanted a customised email because I think it looked better then having Gmail or Yahoo in it. What Is Your Favourite Blog Post My most favourite blog post is the one based on Anna Newton "AKA The Anna Edit". This blog post was based on Anna and her new book. I worked alongside Anna and her publisher team to make that blog post. I loved it What Do You Think About Stock Photos Stock photos are okay but I wouldn't continually use them as blogging is meant to be filled with your work and photos but I don't think it hurts if you use them now and then. I use them mostly for like the slider on my blog but when it comes to blog posts like this I try and just use my own photos or go out and take photos for the blog post that I'm working on When Is The Best Time To Publish A Blog Post & How Often Should You Post 1. "When is the best time to publish a blog post" - There isn't really a set time of when you should post a blog post. The only thing I'd recommend is don't publish it really early in the morning and don't publish it to late at night 2. "How often should you post" - This is completely up to you. You publish a blog post every weekend, ones every few months it's completely up to you Naming A Blog When it comes to naming a blog I'd recommend you use something that your readers can remember and that is easy to spell and not to long

A few weeks ago I went to visit Winchester and it's an amazing little place and it's got all kinds of places from the little old sweet shop, to a little Costa and more My day started off by catching a bus into Winchester what was an hour-long journey. To pass the time I watched some of Ted Lasso. Once we arrived - I had a little walk around Winchester and the place looked amazing. I then went into The Old Gola House pub for some amazing food After the pub, I then walked around Winchester and also went into a little old sweet shop. I went to some other shops and one shop sold old CD's and more. After that, I then did some more walking around Winchester and these are some of the photos from that walk. I then went into Costa and had a cold caramel coffee it was so yummy

As some of you know my blog "jackdeyes.com" was hosted on WordPress and then I moved over to Wix. While that was all happening Wix and me were trying to get all the old blog posts moved over to jackdeyes.com new blog but sadly WordPress blocked us from doing that and wasn't going to let me have all the blog posts back. With that said I have managed to save some of them and it is annoying for me because I had like 200 blog posts on there and I really didn't want to lose any of them. Now that this blog is sorted for now the blog posting will be back to normal and you can expect the first blog to be posted on Thursday and the following blog posts to be posted on the week. I'm sorry I've been away from blogging for such a long time but I'm back so get ready for some awesome blog posts and more

As some of you know I've not done a blog post for a few weeks and that will all be explained in this blog post and also give you all an update on what is going on with jackdeyes.com Everything on my blog is basically done I only have a few things left to do and with that all said I'm loving how my blog looks now than how it did on look WordPress. I feel like it's given jackdeyes.com a new fresh look and feel to the blog. I'm still going to maybe move a few things around and add some things but all in all, it's done. Apart from all of that some of you will know that I'm currently trying to move all the old blog posts over to this blog but unfortunately that isn't working out as easy as I thought. The team at Wix's have been spending hours from all different departments trying to get all the blog posts moved but sadly they haven't had much luck. After long phone calls with Wix's and emails going back and forth, it ended up being something to do with WordPress. Now if anyone has ever tried to contact WordPress support you'll know how difficult that can be some trying to get this sorted is being more of a pain than anything. Due to this, I've not been posting that many blog posts over the last few weeks becuse of all this moving blog post stuff and sadly I might end up losing the majority of the blog posts on WordPress. Besides that, I've also been getting some new tec things that I never planned on making a review on but well you'll see it in the next few weeks or so. Also, I'm getting some blog posts sorted so hopefully, you'll see a blog post up soon. Also if anyone knows how I can get the blog posts moved over from WordPress to Wix please let me know thanks :) I know this blog post isn't like my other blog posts but hopefully, this has given you all an idea of what is going on with jackdeyes.com

The new AirTags were announced at the 2021 Apple WWDC event at Apple Park and got released on the 20th April 2021. When the AirTags first got announced I watched the video about them and also checked out the Apple website so I could understand a bit more about them. At first, I wasn't sure about them but after a family member getting one and showing me how it works on the Find My network I wanted to get one. The AirTag's are amazing to keep things like your bag, wallet, keys and other items that may have an AirTags on safe. For example, if you lose your keys or someone takes them you can open up the Find My App on your iPhone and ping them to make a sound or use the find button to find them and track them down. How Do You Connect The Air Tag To Your iPhone Now, this is very easy as is most of the things that Apple make to connect to an iPhone like AirPods. You take off the paper wrapper from the Airtag put the Airtag next to your phone and then you'll see a pop up on your iPhone saying "connect AirTags" you then tap on connecting AirTags and then pick what the AirTags is for alongside an emoji it's as easy as that. How Does The Find My Work with The AirTag Work Just like connecting it to the iPhone the Find My part is also very easy as well. You open up the Find My app tap on items and then tap on whatever it is you're trying to find and track. You can then ask the tag to make a ping beeping sound or ask your iPhone to track the tag. Finding the tag is easy you tap on the "Find" button once you've tapped that you will then see this This will tell you where you need to go and how far away you are from your keys or the item you're trying to find and this is also how the Find My network works with the AirTags Apple also sale little AirTags keyrings that you will need to buy if you're putting the tag on an item. A few weeks ago my blog went offline for 48HR and that was because I was in the progress of moving my blog from WordPress to Wix. To anyone who has moved a blog from one hosting site to another understands the long progress that it takes and will also know that it doesn't just happen overnight. When I started the progress of moving my blog over to Wix I had to remake my blog all over again what I loved doing becuse I could mess around a little bit before putting everything together and setting the blog live. Some people have asked me why did I leave WordPress and that's becuse to me I feel like their plans are a little overpriced and you don't really get much out of it also the layouts you get to pick from are all the same to a degree and you don't really get much freedom todo stuff to your blog. I'm not saying WordPress is all bad and everything becuse they, not there are a few things about WordPress that I like such as the plugins some of them are amazing and look awesome, you get an Auto-Spam scanner that runs in the background of your blog and site so you're blog isn't filled with spam comments. When I first come across Wix I didn't really understand how it all worked and it all seemed a little confusing to me and I thought it was only for people who had a business or an online store but as I found out it's also made for people like myself who have a blog and it was easier then I thought it was to make a blog in fact it's more fun becuse you get to add what you like, drag things wear you want you free to do whatever you want. Wix's price plans are much better priced than WordPress and you've got the choice to pay it monthly or yearly for the plans but please keep in mind you can only pay for a domain yearly. I've been asked if I'm glad that I moved to Wix and I'm so glad I did and I'd recommend Wix to anyone but please remember WordPress is still good so don't let my blog post set you off WordPress.

Due to the U.K being in lockdown and everything not being how it normally is I've been running out of things to blog about but now that the U.K is continuing with its road maps "for now" I've managed to think of a few things to blog about. I thought I'd start it off with a list of my goals for June and see how far I get with them all. To Go Bowling With A Group Of Friends From Work I know this one may seem a little odd to have a goal but after the year we've had with COVID-19 it would be great to plan and book something and have some kind of normal-ish. Get My Blog Back On Track & Move The Old Blog Posts Over As most of you know from emails, blog update and social media I have moved to host sites and given my blog a new look. The reason why I did this was that I wasn't ever happy with how my blog looked. With this move, I'm currently trying to move my blog posts from my old blog to this blog my new. I was hoping this was going to be done by now but fingers crossed it will be done soon. Apart from all this, I've not really made any blog posts as I explained at the bigging of this blog post but I'm hoping to get that sorted and get back to work with it all. Compleat My Apprenticeship I'm not allowed to say too much about this but I'm currently doing an apprenticeship with the company I work for so I can higher up the ladder. To Get My Room Sorted At the moment I'm in the middle of sorting out my room and getting looking how I want it it's almost nearly done. Read More Books I'm one of those people who get given books as a gift or go out and buy them but never get around to reading them. I'm giving myself a small target of 3 books to read by the end of this month. Supporting More Small Businesses It's more important now than ever to support small businesses as some have had to close shop and move online or find it hard to keep their business going. I've supported a few small businesses in the face my blog logo was made from a small business and I can't wait for o support even more.

My dream job is to become a full-time blogger just think how amazing it would be to get the chance to make your hobby into your job and get to spend as many hours as you like working on it and also becoming your own boss and doing what you want when you want. For me, this would be amazing because not only am I be working on the one thing I love but I'd also be able to work from home and if I wanted to stay in my PJ's then so be it. Some people may be wondering "why would you want to become a full-time blogger" and well let me tell you why. I've been blogging for 7 years and I've loved every single minute of it and I still do today. My blog has given me a place on the web where I can type about anything I like and share it with so many amazing people. Blogging has also given me new friends who are all amazing people and my blog has also given me the chance to attend some amazing blogging events and work with some outstanding brands. I know blogging full time isn't a walk in the park and people who do blogging full-time are so busy people some of them even wake up at 5AM and work all day. I hope that one day this big goal of mine will come true and every day is one step closer after all your dreams don't come true unless you believe. ABOUT BECCA Jack Deyes has permission to use this photo Becca is a U.K lifestyle blogger from Southampton and started her blog back in January 2018. I was lucky to meet Becca back in 2019 when we both attended a Southampton Bloggers event at Stakks. Becca is an incredible person and made me feel a part of the group. She’s so kind to everyone and also has a very sweet little doggie. Apart from blogging Becca also enjoys going out to eat, swimming in the sea, and drinking Pornstar Martinis with friends.
